Management of tourism linkages

Focusses on three sectors: tourism, agriculture and the environment. Examines intersectoral linkages from the standpoint of the environment sector. Describes the environment in OECS countries and interlinkages between the environment, tourism and agriculture sectors. Examines two aspects of the management of development policy: one relating to government policies in the areas the environment, tourism and agriculture and the extent to which interlinkages are considered in the process of development planning and policy formulation and the other relating to the institutional mechanisms for planning and policy formulation as well as implementation and for effecting and managing intersectoral linkages. Reports on the first OECS/ECDPM Consultation. Offers an overview of administrative dimension of intersectoral policy management that have arisen in the course of the OECS/ECDPM programme. Analyses the problems that public administrations encounters when managing the linkages between the environment, tourism and agricultural sectors
