Dynamic Simulation of Vehicle-rail-bridge Coupled System with Nonlinear and Varying Parameters Supporters

This paper presents a dynamic simulation of vehicle-rail-bridge coupled system with rail irregularities in horizontal and vertical orientations.Nonlinear properties of springs and dampers between rail and bridge are considered.The rail and bridge are taken as Euler beams with a number of nonlinear and varying parameters bounds respectively.The nonlinear characteristics of springs and dampers are modeled by piecewise-linear method.Numerical simulations are performed and the dynamic responses of vehicle-rail-bridge coupled system are discussed.From this investigation,it can be concluded that there would be a good effect of nonlinear springs and dampers on suppressing the dynamic responses of vehicle-rail-bridge system in contrast with that of linear ones.
