O ESPAÇO GEOGRÁFICO PARA ALÉM DE SUAS MATERIALIDADES: MEMÓRIA, TRADIÇÃO E O SABER FAZER DOS ALIMENTOS

This article aims to raise questions and present research themes that leads to reflection on the inevitable link between geographical space and social memory, considering as a significant aspect of analysis, the production and consumption of food. We assume that spatial reference is a sinequanon condition for a memory to be evoked, as well as foods consumed and transformed into territoriality are essential for the reproduction of men's and women's lives. Such understanding has enabled the realization of geographic researches with intriguing themes, because the concreteness that marks space configuration is also riddled with symbols and subjectivities presented in daily practices that unfold in it.
