A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF SOCIAL ADJUSTMENT AMONG MARRIED AND UNMARRIED WOMEN OF RURAL AREA

The aim of the present investigation is to find out the difference in the adjustment of married & unmarried rural women. The sample consisted of 120 women. Out of which 60 were married women and 60 were unmarried women. For this purpose of study “SOCIAL ADJUSTMENT INVENTORY” (SAI) by Dr. R.C. Deva was used. The obtain data was analyzed through ‘t’ test to know the mean difference between married and unmarried women. The results show that there is significance difference in social adjustment level of married and unmarried women and there is no significance difference in social maturity and emotional adjustment level of the married and unmarried women.
