Distribution and damage of major whitefly pests in southwest China.

The distribution and damage of major whitefly pests were systematically investigated in southwest China during 2008-2009 to probe the situation of occurrence and damage of whitefly pests,master its occurrence and development trend and lay down effective control measures in time.The results showed that there were Bemisia tabaci,Trialeurodes vaporariorum,Pealius mori and Aleurocanthus spiniferus,and the number of host plants related to 4 whitefly pests was up to 120 species belonging to 37 families.The damage degree of whitefly pests was divided into 4 classifications according to the whitefly density on host plants,and the distribution map of 4 whitefly pests in southwest China was drawn at the same time.
