Some technical and management aspects of catfi sh hatcheries in Hong Ngu district, Dong Thap province, Vietnam

Dong Thap is also known as one of the provinces where the tra catfi sh, Pangasianodon hypophthalmus, aquaculture industry is well established. In 2006, the province produced 300,000 tonnes of catfi sh, contributing 37.5 % to the total production of Vietnam catfi sh aquaculture production. Catfi sh aquaculture in the province also employs about 40,000 people, out of the 1.6 million people who are living there.
