The use of iron-nickel alloys in the study of the pressure distribution in bridgman anvils

The use of iron-base alloys, which are metastable under normal conditions, and in which compression leads to irreversible change of the phase composition, is proposed for the study of pressure inhomogeneities in high pressure chambers.
