Influence of hyperbaric oxygen treatment on cortical neuron Nissl's body in experimental rat cerebral infarction

Objective To observe the hyperbaric oxygen treatment on cortrical neuron Nissl's body in experimental rat cerebral infarction and to discuss the mechanism.Methods The model of cerebral infarction was constructed with middle cerebral artery ocllusion.Seventy-two SD rats were randomly divided into the hyperbaric oxygen treatment group and the control group.The staining and changes of Nissl's body were investigated at 6h,48h,7d,14d after infarction and the quantitative analysis was performed.Results Numbers of Nissl's body in hyperbaric oxygen treatment group were obviously higher than that of the control group.Conclusion Hyperbaric oxygen treatment can give protection to neurocyte in acute stage of cerebral ischemia.
