Evacuation Analysis of Ship by Multi-Agent Simulation Using Model of Group Psychology

It is the most important problem of simulation how human selects the evacuation route. Multi-agent type simulation model is proposed. Man is an autonomous agent who chooses a course. Recognizing surroundings through senses and being mentally influenced, man judges the optimum course every moment. And evacuation action is considered to be group behavior. This model is verified by demonstrations on a real ship and is shown to give optimum evacuation route. Applications to large ships have succeeded.
