Simulations on the DFO estimation with the framework of integrated Kalman Filtering and Multi-antenna system

2019
The serious Doppler effects caused by the high speed of HSR in wireless communication systems are considered. A estimation framework is proposed, consisting of a cooperative antenna system installed outside the train body and Kalman-filtering as well, base on Rice channel model. Then the comparisons and analysis of the estimation presented in this paper with that of joint DFO and channel estimator are conducted by simulations. In particular, we find that for the same velocity of the train and the Rice fading channel parameter, the estimated value is very close to the theoretical results and is better than that of joint DFO and channel estimator. Meanwhile, the bit error rate (BER) for 16QAM dropped significantly when the Rice fading channel parameter varies to 10. Especially, by building the architecture, we not only get the good estimation results, but more pilots are saved and the system efficiency of frequency band can be improved effectively. The framework presented in this paper can provide compensation calculation in HSR with limited pilots as well.
