Stemming and method for preparing same

The invention discloses stemming and a method for preparing the same, wherein the stemming is easily opened, prevents iron penetration, resists etching of scrap iron in slag and suppresses broaching. The method includes the steps: uniformly mixing dry materials of coke powder, asphalt, silicon carbide, corundum, ferrosilicon nitride, sericite, ball clay, disthene, metal silicon, metal aluminum and activated alpha-Al2O3 micro-powder; adding coal tar and coal tar modified phenolic resin to serve as bonding agents; and adding and rolling coal tar modified phenolic resin after rolling the dry materials and the bonding agents to obtain the stemming. During specific implementation, various components of the stemming can be correspondingly adjusted according to a blast furnace production process operation system, so that ideal service effects are achieved in terms of easiness in opening, prevention of iron penetration, resistance to etching of the scrap iron in the slag, broaching suppression and the like.
