The invention relates to a sticky wet material drying method and a drying device, which belong to the technical field of turning drying, wherein a sticky wet material to be dried is fed into a main drying body though a material inlet, the sticky wet material to be dried is driven to be output from a material outlet under the rotation of a hollow rotation shaft and a hollow helical blade which are mutually communicated in the main drying body, hot smoke enters from an air intake connected with the rotation shaft and supplies heat to the rotation shaft and the helical blade, and the lower part of the main drying body is further provided with a hot blast chamber. According to the invention, the hot blast through hole used for drying can be prevented from being blocked, and the sticky wet material can be prevented from winding on the rotation shaft, in addition, a method of mixing the hot smoke in the rotation shaft and the helical blade and the hot smoke from the hot blast chamber is adopted so as to enhance the utilization efficiency of the hot smoke and the safety of the device.
