DEVELOPMENT OF AN URBAN ATMOSPHERIC DISPERSION MODEL FOR TRAFFIC EMISSIONS ON AN HOURLY BASIS

2002
An air quality model has been developed for the prediction of hourly NO2, particulate matter-10, and benzene concentrations with real-time hourly traffic intensity data in urban areas. With this model comparisons have been made with actual measurements of hourly NO2, PM10 and benzene concentrations at three urban measuring stations in the City of Rotterdam. These comparisons have shown that the agreement between model and measurements is reasonable. This newly developed model is implemented as part of a Decision Support System in the European HEAVEN project. For the covering abstract see ITRD E122175.
