The Theoretical Precondition of the Construction of International Communication as a Science

2006
International Communication Science, as a rising branch of communication science, focuses on the information communication beyond national boundaries. Over the past years, many a scholar has contributed to bringing about the theoretical foundation for the development of international communication as a science. However, the research in this aspect, in general, are always riddled with arguments typically about the diversification of objects, the distance from targets and the indistinctness of scientific boundary and so on. The article therefore seeks to analyze the basic issues in relation to the construction of international communication science from the perspective of precondition, and then explore its theoretical framework, logical structure and key objects and so on.
