Agent-based Fuzzy Classifier System

This work presents a new evolutionary approach to data classification based on Holland’s concept of a genetic-based classifier system. The novelty of the method proposed consists in the application of evolutionary multi-agent systems (EMAS) instead of classical genetic algorithms. In the paper the technique is described as well as preliminary experimental results are reported.
