Adsorption of aqueous solutions of organic substances Due to induced polarization of graphitized carbon materials. Communication 1. Adsorption and desorption of n-hexanol, cyclohexanol, and nitrobenzene on graphite

1984
1. A study has been made of the influence of the polarization potential of graphite on the adsorption properties of alcohols and nitrobenzene in an aqueous electrolyte solutions. 2. Feasibility has been demonstrated in principle for reducing the quantity of eluant required to desorb an organic substance, by means of cathodic or anodic polarization of the adsorbent.
