High-temperature friction and some properties of hot-pressed boron carbide

1984
Since until now nothing in the way of research has been done on the high temperature wear resistance of hot-pressed boron carbide in vacuum and in air, the authors undertake here to study the temperature dependence of the coefficient of friction and rate of wear in end-face rubbing of B4C-B4C pairs under conditions of heating to 1673K in a vacuum.
