TINGKAT PRODUKTIVITAS TENAGA KERJA PEREMPUAN PADA PETERNAKAN SAPI PERAH RAKYAT DI KECAMATAN PAKEM KABUPATEN SLEMAN (Productivity on Women Labour at Dairy Cattle Farmers in Pakem Sub District, District of Sleman)

Case study was carried out at Pakem sub district, district of Sleman, during May 2004. the study was aimed to assess productivity, factors effecting , access and control of women labor to dairy cattle farming. The methods of study was using in depth interview, observation and focus group discussion (FGD). Thirty respondent were selected by simple random sampling. The data were collected were then analyzed descriptive qualitatively. The results showed that women labour‟s skill and daily productive activity was sub optimum as the farming. Daily time spent for keeping dairy cattle was 105,98 minutes per day. Disadvantage factors as the farming was still considered small scale farming and low capital. Whilst the advantage factors were simple market on milk and supports from Local Government and related institutions. Access and control of women to dairy cattle farming was considered low especially on women ships, family education and capital
