Medical device laws in Germany, the impact of COVID-19 and brexit

In this article we first explore the changes in German medical device law in light of the EU Medical Device Regulation In this respect, we will outline the legislative status quo and give an overview on the respective German law, which passed the German parliament on 27 March 2020 and came into effect on 26 May 2020 We will then assess the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the date of application of the new Medical Device Regulation Finally, we will outline the position in the UK amid Brexit © 2020, TOPRA All rights reserved
