Iotrolan versus iopamidol for radiculography: a randomized double-blind study

1988
Iotrolan is a new, non-ionic, contrast medium with potential benefits for intrathecal use, having a longer opacification time and possibly less neurotoxic effect than other agents currently in use. It is on trial in different parts of the UK under licence from the Department of Health and Social Security and this series of patients is part of a current multicentre study. With approval from the Hospital Ethics Committee and the informed consent of the patients, we have conducted a doubleblind trial of its use in radiculography against iopamidol, the contrast medium currently in use in our department.
