Method making color selectable by user in electrostatic copy image forming system

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which a monochromatic or clear color image can be formed by using color selectable by a user and the visibility of a color can be added to a printing color image formed by the device. SOLUTION: An electrostatic latent image formed on an image forming device is developed by a developer composed of at least one kind of carrier particle and two or more kinds of compatible toner constituents, and a toner image is transferred and fixed to a received image support body. The compatible toner constituents are selected from a toner constituent which has a coated toner particle surface and contains a component having mixing compatibility and a particulate-like toner constituent containing dye on which a component having mixing compatiblity is inactivated.
