NIKEN RANI WANDANSARI. Organic Liquid Fertilizer Production from Palm Oil Mill Effluent Utilization. Under supervision of GUNAWAN DJAJAKIRANA and SUDARSONO. Continuous synthetic fertilizer utilization without returning organic material into soil can reduce the soil quality. Therefore, it is very important to add organic material into the soil, either through returning of harvesting residue or giving organic fertilizer that is ready to use. This study consists of two main experiments, namely the digestion process of palm oil mill effluent to produce organic liquid fertilizer and the application of organic liquid fertilizer to plants in the polibag. Results of field observations and laboratory analysis showed that application of organic liquid fertilizer and interaction between organic and anorganic fertilizer give significant effect to height and weight of kangkong and caisin. The highest influence for kangkong was found in the liquid organic fertilizer from aerobic decompotition, whereas the highest influence for caisin was found in the liquid organic fertilizer from anaerobic decompotition. In general, the treatment combination of AS (Ammonium Sulfat) fertilizer dose 50 % with liquid organic fertilizer from palm oil mill effluent give higher crop height and weight than the treatment of AS fertilizer dose 100 %, because the organic liquid fertilizer had a higher nutritions. Quantitatively, the highest nutrition content was found in the effluent from biodigester>effluent biodigester with aeration>effluent from anaerobic pond>effluent from aerobic pond, while the highest humic acid was found in effluent from anaerobic pond>effluent biodigester with aeration>effluent from biodigester>effluent from aerobic pond. Volume of biogas production from biodigester with capacity ± 7.0 m reach 13.4 m/2 weeks with the percentage of metan gas about 50.45-83.72 % and the net value of heat 16.65-27.63 kJ/dm.
