THE INFLUENCE OF BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION ON DOCTORS' AND NURSES' HANDS HYGIENE UPON REDUCING OF HOSPITAL INFECTION RATE OF PREMATURE

2010
[Objective] To investigate the influence of behavior intervention on doctors' and nurses' hands hygiene upon the hospital infection rate of the premature. [Methods] 296 cases from January to June 2008 and 296 cases from January to June 2009 were selected to be studied. The former group,as a contrast, the hands of nurses were cleaned routinely and sometimes according to the nurses' habit. The later group,as an experimental group, the hands were disinfected strictly according to hand-hygienic standard. [Results] Between these two groups of premature, the incidence rates of umbilical infection, impetigo neonatorum and neonatal pneumonia were compared and found to be significant (P﹤0.005). [Conclusion] The more attention to the hygiene of hands and the more compliance on disinfection their hands have, the less hospital infection incidence of the premature happen.
