CICLO BIOLÓGICO DE BRUCHIDIUS SILIQUASTRI DELOBEL, 2007 (COLEOPTERA: BRUCHIDAE) EN CERCIS SILIQUASTRUM L. PRIMERA CITA PARA ESPAÑA PENINSULAR

New data on the biology of Bruchidius siliquastri Delobel, 2007 are presented. The data are based on specimens collected in Judas tree (Cercis siliquastrum) seed pods, from the Gibraltar Botanic Gardens, where we recorded the first speci- mens from the Iberian Peninsula, and also from several villages in Maresme and Valles Oriental regions (Barcelona), first record from mainland Spain. Having studied the species' entire development, we provide some details of its life history and si- multaneously make new observations on its reproductive biology and foraging behaviour, both in the wild and the laboratory.
