Tooth profile forming product and formation of tooth profile

PURPOSE: To provide a tooth profile forming product excellent in strength and a tooth profile forming method. CONSTITUTION: A cuplike slug W having a bottom is loosely inserted into a first punch 30 forming a tooth profile 32 for forming on the outer peripheral surface and the first punch 30 and a faced die 20 matched with the tooth profile 32 in the punch side on the inner peripheral surface and forming the tooth profile 22 for forming are engaged in an axial direction by pressing the end surface in the opening hole side of a slug cylindrical part with a second punch 40 in the condition of pressing the bottom part of the slug to the tip surface of the punch by a slug holder 28. A raw material is plastically deformed in the axial direction and the material is fluidized and filled into the bottom part of the tooth profile in the first punch to form the tooth profile in the both sides at the inner and outer parts in the cylindrical part by the plastic working.
