Electrogenerative and related electrochemical methods for NO/sub x/ and SO/sub x/ control

1986
Electrogenerative processes can be used to reduce nitric oxide to low levels in a variety of gas streams. A strategy for applying this and related electrochemical reduction processes to power plant effluents is discussed. Electrogenerative oxidation and reduction of sulfur dioxide are also feasible. However, flue gas treatments must be selected for compatibility.
