Reservation-based cooperative traffic management at an intersection of multi-lane roads

It is important to determine the most appropriate intersection crossing plan for a given traffic mix. For this, the performance of a reservation-based cooperative traffic management at an intersection of multi-lane roads are evaluated for different traffic mixes and intersection crossing plans. It is observed through simulation that delays on the intersection entrance can be significantly reduced by using properly chosen intersection crossing plan for a given traffic mix. We believe that this observation can be used to adaptively determine the appropriate plans for changing traffic mixes.
