Design of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Microstrip Antenna for RF Energy Harvesting

The proposed antenna is a multiband and broadband microstrip antenna. The research will focus on incorporating UWB including GSM, UMTS, 4G/5G and ISM bands with more efficient antenna performance. The antenna gain can reach 3.31dB at 4.8GHz and the antenna efficiency is more than 94%. In addition, the 2 × 2 array is studied. To fabricate a complete energy harvesting system, we design a 1–4 Wilkinson power divider, a suitable matching network and a rectification circuit. Finally, an integrated energy harvesting system is fabricated and measured.
