Frost resistant steam cycle device and methods for their operation

The invention relates to a steam cycle apparatus comprising a reservoir for a liquid working medium; a feed pump for supplying working fluid from the reservoir to an evaporator, in which the working fluid evaporates; an expander, is supplied to the vapor from the evaporator working means that relaxes in the expander with the performance of mechanical work; a condenser subsequent to the expander and communicating with the reservoir in fluid connection, wherein the working medium is liquefied in the condenser; wherein the invention is characterized in that the steam cycle device comprises a discharge pump for the working fluid, which is arranged in a bypass line between the reservoir and a switchable fluidically connected to at least one other component of the steam cycle device valve device.
