Controversias territoriales y expansionismo de Nicaragua en Centroamérica y el Caribe 1811-2016

Throughout the history of Nicaragua international dispute with Colombia has not been the only territorial dispute that has filed the country, therefore, it is important to analyze thoroughly what have been the controversial history of the Central American country in the region with the in order to determine whether there is an expansionist dynamics in their performances. With the next project is to examine the nature of the expansionist policy of Nicaragua through a historical analysis of territorial disputes state since its independence from 1811 to 2016 in Central America and the Caribbean. This in order to establish relevant contexts to understand the current litigation Colombia and Nicaragua before the International Court of Justice; as well as providing determinants in the dynamics of behavior of the Central American country in the International System, which could identify the next short-term movements of the actors involved in the proceedings before the ICJ.
