Progress on Immunological Modulatory Functions and Applying Prospects of Glucan from Beer Yeast

Glucan from beer yeast is an immuno-polysaccharide.It is an effective biological respondent,which has strong biological activity and low toxic.The structural features and immunological mechanisms of glucan from beer yeast were described in this paper.Several immunological functions and applying status as forage additives and animal medicine of yeast β-1,3-D-glucan were introduced.Moreover,the prospects of its application in several respects were also discussed in this paper.
