Objective. To present the sonographic appearance of hepatocellular carcinoma imaged with the intravenous contrast agent Levovist. Methods. We reviewed our experience using Levovist (Schering AG, Berlin, Germany) for the sonographic diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma. Results. Contrastenhanced sonography with Levovist facilitated detailed evaluation of tumor vascularity in hepatocellular carcinoma. Conclusions.
