The Causes and Risk Factors of Hospitalization in Patients With Maintenance Hemodialysis in a Single Center

Objective To analyse the cause and risk factors of hospitalization in patients with maintenance hemodialysis. Methods The clinical data of 234 MHD patients were retrospectively analyzed. Results The main causes of hospitalization were infection,cardiovascular diseases and diseases related of dialysis accesses.Compared with outpatient group,the levels of age was elder,the BMI,Alb,serum BUN.serum creatinine,serum phosphorus were lower, P0.05.Stepwise multivariate regression analysis showed the level of BMI and Alb were related factors to influence the hospitalization in MHD patients(OR=1.954 and 2.933). Conclusion Infection, cardiovascular diseases and diseases related of dialysis accesses were the important causes for hospitalization in MHD patients. The level of BMI and Alb were related factors to influence the hospitalization in MHD patients.
