Swallowing movement measuring device and swallowing movement measuring method

2016
Provided is a swallowing movement measuring device capable of measuring the swallowing movement of a subject. This swallowing movement measuring device measures swallowing movement on the basis of the movement of the larynx generated during swallowing of a bolus, and includes a capacitive sensor that is brought into contact with the surface of the larynx of a subject, and a measurement device that measures change in capacitance in the capacitive sensor. The capacitive sensor includes a sensor main body having a sheet type dielectric layer, and a first electrode layer and a second electrode layer that are respectively formed on the front surface and the back surface of the dielectric layer and are at least partially opposed to each other with the dielectric layer therebetween, wherein the opposed portions of the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer serve as a detector, and the sensor main body reversibly deforms so that the areas of the front and back surfaces of the dielectric layer change.
