Transformaciones morfológicas y tipológicas en el marco del proceso de metropolización de Bogotá : análisis del proceso de consolidación urbana de Zipaquirá

2019
This research emerges from several debates on area consolidation processes found on metropolitan dynamics which indicate continuous land transformation. In the case of Bogota and its non-metropolitan area, it is possible to assert, based on multiple academic and institutional research, that there is enough supporting evidence of an existing metropolitan process that provides a detailed account of the continuous transformations of its peripheral municipalities. All the above, in turn, fosters emerging growth scenarios that are consistent with the economic tensions and normative adaptations arising from land approval for new industrial complexes, new infrastructure projects, inflexible normativity, and planning instruments, seen from the cooperation of municipalities with metropolitan logics. Understanding the implications of a metropolitan phenomenon leads to the conduction of a methodological analysis that aligns with the process of consolidation of municipalities and the identification of unique patterns within their growth. These patterns are mostly far from the large number of conditions that may be developed.
