General principles of pharmacotherapy during pregnancy

2016
The prescriber is confronted with the problem of alleviating the mother’s symptoms and ensuring that no or negligible harm is produced in the unborn while prescribing in pregnancy. This piece of writing examines different aspects that have to be considered before deciding on the appropriate therapy in a pregnant/possibly pregnant woman as well as in lactating mothers.
