Etude intégrée dʼun enregistrement morphosédimentaire anthropique holocène : lʼescargotière de Tissouirine (Atlas atlantique, Maroc)
2005
Integrated study of the morphosedimentary holoceneʼs recording of anthropic origin : the Tissouirine snailery (Atlantic Atlas, Morocco).- This article brings in the first results of a project related to the inventory, typology and integrated studies of the morphosedimentary holoceneʼs recording of anthropic origin. The Tissouirine snailery, taken as a piloting site, is presented as an ashy mass. The lithostratigraphic and multi-elementary analyses display two sets. The top is coarser due to its enrichment in blocks. The lithic industry is allocated to the ancient Neolithic and two radiocarbon datings : 6892 + 166 years B.P. at the base and 5003 + 141 years B.P. at the top of the snailery allow to confirm the attribution of this sedimentary accumulation to the Rharbian. Nevertheless, this period, generally qualified as humid, displays a tendency to the aridity in Tissouirine. These various investigations suggest dynamics in the construction of the filling in relation to the human occupation of the site.
