WCDMA NEAX61Σ mobile switching center : IMT2000 Mobile Communication System

2001
The trend of the mobile communication market is shifting from second-generation, circuit switching services mainly providing voice based service, to packet-based 2.5th-generation mobile Internet services represented by i-mode and GPRS services. The 3rd-generation services are bringing about major changes in the world of the Internet. To satisfy market demands for diverse mobile-multimedia communication services, the switching node equipment was developed to integrate circuit switching and packet switching capabilities. The node device employing ATM technologies with statistical multiplex effect such as AAL2, which expanded mobile communication, allows high-speed communication services at a maximum rate of 384kbps.
