Introduction: Fractal dimension (FD) on periapical radiographs is used as a simple descriptor of the complex architecture of the trabecular bone surrounding the dentition. It is used on periapical and panoramic radiographs as a descriptor of the complex architecture of trabecular bone surrounding teeth.
