Heat generation in power plant boilers: New line of development in power engineering

2003
District heating cogeneration was widely developed in the USSR and is currently being developed in Russia. While the advantages of district heating cogeneration are obvious, the available disadvantages are not always taken into account: electric power losses, low potential of district water, reduced effectiveness of turbines, etc. The Engineering Company ZIOMAR (Podolsk, Russia) with assistance ofNPO TsKTI (St Petersburg, Russia) has developed relevant heat extraction circuits and heat exchangers.
