The environmental monitoring data transmission method comprises: a monitoring terminal transmits data packets to a host computer successively; when a preset number of data packets are transmitted, the monitoring terminal counts the loss rate of the preset number of data packets; and the monitoring terminal adjusts the transmission frequency for transmitting the subsequent data packets according to the loss rate. For the environmental monitoring data transmission method, during the process for transmitting data to the host computer by the monitoring terminal, by means of real-time detection of the loss rate of the data packets and according to the loss rate of the data packets, the transmission frequency of the data packets is adjusted timely so that dynamic adjusting of the transmission frequency is realized during the data transmission process; loss of the data packets during the data transmission process is effectively reduced; and the transmission efficiency of the environmental monitoring data is improved.
