Economy of ligno-sulfate based plasticizer in ready-mixed concrete

The properties and economy of application of 3 admixtures,i.e.lingo-sulfate based plasticizer(LS),pumping agent MB mainly containing LS,and pumping agent NB mainly containing naphthalene-sulphonate based superplasticizer(NSF),were experimentally investigated.The results indicate that the best properties and the best economy can be obtained when MB is added in ready-mixed concrete of C15 to C40 with the replacement by slag powder at 20% and by fly ash at 10%.It is proposed that LS should be taken seriously in application of ready-mixed concrete especially when NSF is of high price led by the lack of NSF's raw materials.
