Radical Bonding Thermoplastics and Materials with Low Surface Energy Using Acrylate Compositions

2018
Fundamental studies of radical generation with the participation of trialkylboranes combined with oxygen and organoelemental peroxides were performed. It was shown that a complex process of bonding polymer materials with a low-energy surface occurs predominantly under the action of trialkylborane deblocked from an amine complex and oxygen solved in the adhesive composition. The process of curing the adhesive composition occurs in time both in the volume and on the surface of a substrate, and oxygen is consumed in the first minutes after mixing.
