A Simulation Model of Pedestrian Evacuation Considering the Fuzzy Visual Range by Fuzzy Cellular Automata

Pedestrian evacuation is an important research hot spot in the field of evacuation. The process of pedestrian evacuation is discrete and unpredictable. In this paper, based on the cellular automata evacuation model, we designed the simulation model of pedestrian evacuation considering the fuzzy visual range(FV-FCA). In this model, fuzzy visual range is established. Based on neighborhood selection rule and distance rule, Pedestrians within a fuzzy visual range are considered in the process of pedestrian evacuation. Considering that pedestrians make decisions based on their familiarity with the environment in evacuation, environmental fuzzy rule and obstacle factor rule are established.The simulation results show that the model can effectively simulate the phenomena . In the process of evacuation, if pedestrians maintain a moderate visual field radius, it can effectively improve the efficiency of pedestrian evacuation. This study is helpful for the formulation of evacuation strategies and schemes of related pedestrian flows.
