Investigation on the plant resources and eco-tourism of Tung Ping Chau Island, Hongkong.

According to the vegetation investigation of Tung Ping Chau Island,a total of 207 vascular plants,belonging to 65 families and 173 genus were recorded,of which 132 species are medicinal plants,103 ornamental plants,37 oil plants,26 textile plants,25 edible plants,24 aromatic plants,23 timber plants,20 forage plants,14 tanning plants,9 starch plants and 7 poisonous plants.The vegetation types and multiple plant resources of this island are dealt with in this paper,meanwhile some suggestions on exploitation of its eco-tourism aiming at better conservation and sustainable utilization of its plant resources,are provided.
