2006
When Transitive Corp. was looking to develop its embryonic technology from a research project at the University of Manchester, it looked to Pond Venture Partners for funding. Transitive was working to develop a technology that enabled software that had been compiled to run on one central processing unit to also run on a different CPU - the result was as good as porting the software but without all the work. Aside from evaluating the technology, Pond partners helped Transitive secure its first customer after arranging to do a proof of concept demonstrator deal with a significant price tag. Transitive has now gone through a third round of funding and Pond has been involved at each stage.
