The invention provides a self-elevating type intelligent pole and tower climbing protection device for an electric system and a safe pole climbing method thereof, and belongs to the field of power grid anti-falling equipment. The self-elevating type intelligent pole and tower climbing protection device comprises a safety belt. The safety belt is connected to a sliding block through a connecting device, the sliding block is installed on a sliding rail parallel with an electric pole and tower, the sliding rail is provided with inverted teeth, the sliding block is provided with a through hole, four sets of rolling wheels are arranged in the through hole, the sliding rail penetrates through the through hole, the sliding block is fixed to the sliding rail through the four sets of rolling wheels and can move along the sliding rail, the side wall of the through hole is provided with an installation hole, inverted teeth are hinged in the installation hole, a spring is arranged between the inverted teeth and the bottom of the installation hole, a motor is arranged on the side face of the sliding block, a rotating shaft of the motor is connected to rotating shafts of the rolling wheels through couplers, the motor is connected to a battery through a motor driver, the motor driver is located on the safety belt, and a wire between the motor driver and the battery and the power end of the motor is bound to the connecting device. The self-elevating type intelligent pole and tower climbing protection device can provide emergency protection when a line constructor slips off.
