Large Hepatic Cysts Presenting as Photopenia on Myocardial Perfusion Scintigraphy Demonstrated by SPECT/CT

2008
Extracardiac findings are not uncommon on routine myocardial perfusion scintigraphy (MPS). We presented two cases, who received MPS for detecting ischemic heart disease. Large areas of photopenia in liver were noted from raw data of MPS in both cases, and SPECT/CT showed evidence of large hepatic cysts, up to 12 and 13.2 cm each. Careful inspection of raw projection images on MPS is important for these extracardiac findings, and SPECT/CT may help to demonstrate them.
