도시철도 지하구조물에 미치는 지하수 영향 평가

Structures of domestic urban railways are being constructed in underground of highly populated commercial and residential areas in Seoul metropolitan region and metropolitan cities. Since expansion of transportation network inside of the big cities, redevelopment, and reconstruction are continuously progressed, new structures adjacent to the urban railway are constructed. Groundwater induced by excavation for foundation causes the stability problems of structures. The urban railway is a key method of transportation and, if there are accidents, it results in a great loss of life. Therefore, the stability of the urban railway should be very important issue. In this study, as deep excavations adjacent to the urban railway are under construction, the soil behavior associated with groundwater levels and ground effects on underground box structures are examined. Compressive, tensile, and shear strength mobilized in underground box structures induced by groundwater are 24%, 13%, and 35%, respectively. The shear strength has been dominantly mobilized by groundwater.
