Disclosed is a stator (16) of an electrical machine (10) having an annular laminated stator core (26) on which by means of the winding bodies (40, 42) stator coils (36) coil ends (36a, b) are arranged, which (with a connection device 38) are interconnected. The connection device (38) comprises a plurality of coaxially arranged connecting conductors (52, 54, 56), which by means of insulating layers (58) are electrically insulated from one another, wherein the connecting conductors (52-56) coil connection portions (52a-56a) for the coil ends (36a , b) and less power terminal regions (52c-56c) for supplying power to the electric machine (10). It is proposed to carry out the connecting conductors (52-56) as annular discs and arranged staggered axially on the stator (16), each connecting conductor (52-56) at least one mounting portion (52d-56d) for fixing on the stator (16) and a winding body (40) has at least one connecting portion (40e, f), wherein the mounting portions (52d-56d) are arranged in the connecting conductor (52-56) overlapping and wherein the connecting conductors (52-56) so that together on the connecting portion (40e, f) the winding body (40) are fixed.
